Parklife began as Mad Ferret festival, a one-day affair in Platts Field Park, Rusholme. Set up in 2007 by a group of students, the festival soon began pulling in bigger names – The Streets, Roots Manuva, Franz Ferdinand – and bigger audiences
Taken over by Sacha and his co-founders in 2010, what started as a one-day festival in Platt Fields Park is now the UK’s largest metropolitan festival, spanning two days and attracting 80,000 people to Manchester.
The festival was moved to Heaton Park in 2012 and has since seen performances from the likes of Disclosure, Snoop Dog, Peggy Gou, Fred Again, The Prodigy and more.
The non-camping festival comprises seven stages spanning multiple genres as well as street food vendors, bars and more.
