In June 2023, the Government announced that they would be doing a U-turn on their back-of-house drugs testing policy just 48 hours before the beginning of Parklife weekend.
The move would prevent festivals across the country from being able to test confiscated drugs in a back-of-house laboratory, which Sacha argued would put lives at risk, preventing event organisers from putting out warnings for dangerous substances as well as preventing on-site medics from liasing with back-of-house testers to determine the best course of care for those requiring medical assistance.
