The first 300 people to send their pre-order confirmation to party@talesfromthedancefloor.co.uk will receive a ticket to an exclusive, one-off gig in Manchester.
Sacha Lord will host an exclusive gig to celebrate publishing his inaugural tell-all book, Tales from the Dance Floor.
Announcing the news on Instagram and TikTok Sunday night, Sacha revealed the one-off secret events will be held at an undisclosed, never-before-used location in Manchester city centre on Thursday April 11th and Friday April 12th.
The events will see exclusive sets from world-famous
DJs and free drinks. Attendees will also receive three
different DJ mixes covering the last three decades of
Manchester’s house music scene.
The evenings will kick off with a Q&A with Sacha
Lord and co-author Luke Bainbridge, speaking on the
meteoric rise of Manchester and how the city became
the capital of nightlife that it is today before the
venue transforms to host the exclusive launch
party.
Only 300 people will receive entry passes for each
night, distributed on a first-come, first-served basis
to those who email proof of hardback book purchase to
party@talesfromthedancefloor.co.uk (1 pre-purchase = 1
ticket).
Speaking about the announcement, Sacha said:
“On Thursday 11th April and Friday 12th April, I will be holding a book launch party like no one has ever seen.
“I’ve found a derelict venue right in the heart of
Manchester city centre, which we’ll be revealing via
text message the day before in true warehouse style.
“I’ve never known of a book launch event like this. It
will bring back memories for those who remember the
days of Sankeys and The Hacienda, right through to
those who come to The Warehouse Project today.
“It will be an incredible showcase of how Manchester
rules the house scene and only available to a select
number of people. There’s no private guest list for
VIPs, no names on the door - we want these events to
be open to all, on a first come first served basis and
we can’t wait to open the doors.
